Entombed

I am the tomb
that enshrines his secrets
I’ll laugh when they come
with their spades and trowels
bent on unearthing his bones
they’ll never dig deep enough
and will leave with nothing
but my soil-covered stones.

Ace of spades

Morse code
beat palpitates
warm wrist
feel demonstrates
mind, hearts
accommodates
I’m dealt
the ace of spades.

Yummy

Meditating behind musky pages
submerged in the murky depths
of Marketing 101, flick
my finger upon tongue
to fli yet another
when a tap roused me to turn
and face a caramel macchiato smile
behind the tiramisu cheesecake.

Yum.

Shattered

Whatever crashed you

You were able to move past it

That’s natural. We recover. We get damaged

And then we rebuild

I couldn’t rebuild. I don’t even think I want to rebuild

I was shattered and maybe it was best to keep me that way.
