Nightfall

Every sense and every sight,

Softens beneath the mighty stars.

Guardians of the night,

Creeping yet into your soul.

Of the sharp and ancient eye.

The vastness of the Universe,

Shakes the ground with awe,

Of the God omnipotent,

Unto this little speck of dust.

The Moon, with the soft glow

Of sweet warmth, soothes this wretched soul.

Appreciate while you can,

The night would not be young,

Forever.
