Run, Let’s.

Let us just run.

Just you and me.
No one else, in sight or in hearing.
Going through blocks and every clearing.
Deep through the mountains,
Swimming through fountains.
Shut our ears from destruction.
From our world of God’s creation.
Let us just run.
Just you and me.
Let’s do it now and no later.
I be the maid and you be the waiter.
Surviving on pennies and drops,
But running on joy that won’t stop.
Trembles and screams so piercing.
Throat starts drying.
Streams of hope so slow.
All ending up in a lake of woe.
Can’t we just run?
Just you and me?
By,
Puteri Eleni.
